Sometimes, at night,

I hear the rapping of knuckles on the front door,

Very softly but insistent.

Lying in my bed in fear,

This is such a beautiful poem. Very unique, a bit scary, especially the persistent rapping at the door. It’s also emotional and excellently penned. The soul of a father visiting his daughter is awesome. I was moved to tears because I too lost my father. I can imagine myself in that situation. Love you so much, dear Dawn. This is one of the best poems. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
