Master storyteller Nigel Byng has honored me with a lovely review of Ariel’s Song: Published Poems, 1987-2023, on Amazon and Goodreads, and I’m excited to share it with you.

Nigel is a phenomenal writer, humanitarian, and advocate for women’s issues who actively supports other writers. He is a valuable asset to the writing community.

This is how he describes himself on his website, Helping You to Succeed:

“Writing brings the world to life. My soul, my experiences, my secrets, they all fuel the things I put on paper.

“I am a freelance writer living in West Palm Beach. I observe and write about nearly everything and everyone I encounter. I have learnt that if I look at the world carefully, and long enough, I see a reflection of myself in everything. After all, we are what we put into the world.”

His stories delve deep into the human condition. Some of my favorites include the “Eliza” series, “Farewells,” and “Figaro’s Masterpiece.” Please visit Nigel and experience his entertaining and thought-provoking stories.

“It must have been a challenge to curate three decades of poetry, and then personally select the ones to put into this book. Dawn Pisturino’s distinctive voice and personality runs like a golden thread through each and every one of these pieces.

“This book, dedicated to her daughter, is deeply personal, funny, witty, and heartbreaking at times. Touching on so many facets of her life, Dawn’s charisma, and dark sense of humor pulls one in to her creative aura and takes your emotions on a rollercoaster of a ride.

“There are 65 poems, packed into 130 pages, and a few that tugged on my heart were Ariel’s Song, The Sleeping Beauty and First Snow. There is the hilarious “I hate Snakes “ which I wholeheartedly embraced, as I am terrified of the creatures.

“While most of the poems have been previously published, there are quite a few new gems tucked in to this book, that are worth reading over and over again. Her poem dedicated to her father, “Rapping” made me think of my dad who passed nearly 25 years ago. Such is her versatility as a writer, that she evokes every emotion conceivable in this collection of poetry.

“Ariel’s Song by Dawn Pisturino is worth the price of admission. It is a gift to all poetry lovers out there. I highly recommend this book.”

Thank you, Nigel, for this wonderful review!
